Dr. Gholamreza Salehi Jouzani got his PhD in genetics and biotechnology from Vavilov Institute of General genetics, Russian Academy of Sciences in 2005, and curently works as Associate Prof. in the Microbial biotechnology Department of Agricultural Biotechnology Research Instituet of Iran (ABRII). Previously, his position was Deputy for Research in ABRII for three years from 2011 to 2014, and before that his position was head of Microbial Biotechnology Department. His main activities are focused on agricultural microbial bio-products (Biopesticides, biocompost, Biofertilizers, probiotics and biofuels) and biosafety aspects of GMOS. In addition he is familiar with different technologies, such as genetic engineering, metagenomics, bioprocess engineering and molecular markers. During the last 10 years, he has published more than 80 papers in different recognized national and international scientific journals, 7 books in the field of biotechnology, and patented 7 inventions.  He also transferred two technologies, including biocompost from agro-waste and poultry probiotics to private sector. He has organized different lectures and workshops on different aspects of microbial biotechnology and biosafety at national and international level.
